ALICE “ANN” ASKINS HOWELL,

age 76, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away on March 22, 2023, at UAMS Medical Center. She was born in Little Rock on July 5, 1946, to the late Silas and Alice (Stuart) Askins. Ann was a loving mother, wife, sister, aunt, and “Mama”. She was a lifelong member of Geyer Springs United Methodist Church. She was active in the food pantry and enjoyed planting flowers. She loved her family, but above all else, she loved the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and George “Mike” Howell, her husband of 49 years. She is survived by brothers, Bobby Askins of Springdale, Ark., and Jimmy Askins of Dallas, Texas; sister, Myra Jo Fuller (Randy), of Little Rock, Ark.; sisterin-law, Phyllis Jane (Jim) Bryant, of Cabot, Ark.; sons, Andy (Niki) Howell of El Paso, Ark., and Jay (Tracy) Howell, of Conway, Ark.; granddaughters, Hayley Howell, of Saraland, Ala., and Payton Howell, of Conway, Ark.; grandson, Paxton Howell, of Conway, Ark., and many nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends. Ann was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Donations can be made to the food pantry at Geyer Springs United Methodist Church, 5500 Geyer Springs Rd., Little Rock, Ark., 72209, in memory of Ann.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2023 at Geyer Springs United Methodist Church, with funeral services immediately following at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
